Celebrate Cape Cod's Cranberry Farming Heritage on Saturday, October 16, 2010, from 10am - 3pm at the annual FALMOUTH CRANBERRY HARVEST FESTIVAL on the town-owned Coonamessett River Bogs off of John Parker Road in East Falmouth.
Watch a wet harvest; enjoy musical entertainment and children's activities; listen to the tale of Clarence the Cranberry Who Couldn't Bounce; make a miniature bog in a cup; examine old cranberry scoops, historic photos & cranberry crate labels; join a guided walking tour of the bogs; lunch at the Portuguese-American Club tent; take home cranberry cookies, candies, jellies and breads; jewelry, soap, candles, and decorations; local berries, organic and standard, fresh and dried; and much, much, more!
Rain date is Sunday, October 17, 2010, same time, same place!
Admission is FREE
The Falmouth Cranberry Harvest Festival, Inc. is a nonprofit group dedicated to providing opportunities for the public to learn about and preserve the cranberry farming heritage of Falmouth and Cape Cod. The festival is supported in part by the Woods Hole Foundation and the Cape and Islands Farm Bureau.
