In an email, one of my constituents said, "Keep up the fight, you have my support and many others in the silent majority."
I do appreciate the support, but disagree with the idea of a "silent majority."
Listening is a skill. Most of my work experience has been in what are considered customer-facing jobs, and because of this, I've had a lot of training on how to listen. Type "how to listen" in Google and you'll get a wide variety of listening-related links.
The people aren't silent. The problem is that most of our leaders don't know how to listen.
