"Nobody ever came up with a great idea all by themselves."

I had a conversation earlier today with a friend and neighbor; someone who has written-off town politics as too frustrating.

One of the cool things about my blog is that I can do an online poll, and I contemplated creating one that would let folks weigh in on the things they find most frustrating. However, while there's something cathartic about venting, it's not very constructive.

A lot of folks - my friend being one of them - have their doubts about Falmouth's future. For every bright light that is the success of the library, there are issues like the high school that seem to overshadow it all.

No doubt there are challenges, but I really think our best days are ahead of us. It's not just a cheesy campaign slogan - I honestly believe we can do better.

Thomas Edison is quoted as saying, "Nobody ever came up with a great idea all by themselves." Give me your thoughts, citizens of Falmouth, and tell me what you would do to improve our slice of paradise by the sea.

What do you consider to be the challenges facing us, and how would you address them?

(P.S - You have the option of posting a response anonymously)
